For any child to maximise their potential it is extremely important that they attend every day as the learning in one lesson will provide the basis for the next. It is understood that from time to time that a child will be too unwell to attend and we ask parents to contact St  Bede’s via the 24 hour attendance line on 0117 3772228 and leave a message giving the pupils name, tutor group and expected return date. When a child returns to St Bede’s following an absence it is important that they bring in a note from their parent or carer to confirm their absence.

You can help improve your child’s overall attendance at St Bede’s by

• Making appointments for the doctor, dentist etc. outside of school hours wherever possible
• Avoid taking holidays during term time
